Good Friday Weekend

So, I'm into my third day of the long weekend. Time flies doesn't it.

I had a great Friday followed by an uneventful Saturday, and am now dreading the coming work week. There are no p.hols in April!!!

Things I did the past two days.

- I watched 2 movies in less than 24hrs. I am so proud of myself. It is something I have not done since my teeny bopper days. These days, I somewhat prefer watching a dvd on a cosy bed than with 300 strangers. Plus point, as in my earlier post, it is possible to hump while watching a dvd, but that totally misses the point.

- I got nauseous while playing xbox. I seriously suck at xbox games. Was playing Starwars: Knights of the old Republic, all that maneuvering with the light saber while trying to navigate made me feel like puking. I hate 3-D games. Why can't all games be simple like super Mario or bubble puzzle. You only need a joystick for direction and another button to fire. These days, there are 2 joysticks on the controller and a million other buttons. Please, my hand is only that big. But I resolve to get better at these games. I love racing games though.

- I slept the whole of Saturday and still have dark eye bags. I seriously wonder why.

- I ate half a tub of Phish Food. I love Phish Food. I like the strawberry with graham swirls too. I believe its called Primary Berry Graham. I love their new flavours.

- I finally used another $20 of my Robinson vouchers. I had $50 to start with, I sold $20 to a colleague. My stuff cost $16 and I paid with my $20 voucher. They actually refunded the difference to me in cash. So happy. Another $10 to go. I hate Robinson vouchers. It is so out of the way and there is absolutely nothing to buy there. Too bad, my frumpy office manager loves Robinson and as a result, all of us gets Robinson vouchers on our birthdays.

- I finally used $10 of my Metro voucher. Metro vouchers have no expiry dates, you just use and they print another voucher with the difference to you. Its like a stored value card. The voucher has been with me so long, I do not even remembered how I got it. The last time I used it was like a year ago. I have another $5 left.

In short, I am quite happy this weekend. My only grouse is that it has to end and I can feel myself being sucked back into the whirlwind of work.

Guys that put me off.

Remember the letter I wrote to the forum eons ago, today it was published.

The strange thing is I only knew of it when my uncle sms me, rebuking me for showing more concern over explosives than my sister. wtf. This reminds me why I do not like my relatives. What right do they have to reprimand me? This uncle is one of my most preferred uncles too.

Later, my cousin icqed me, he claimed I was boliao. I just do not understand. Why do some people do nothing about anything but just whine about everything? They adopt the i-will-wait-for-gold-to-drop attitude and in the meanwhile complain that they are powerless to do anything.
Granted, some things like building a casino are largely beyond our control and the 'elite' make the final decision. Most other things, we should not be afraid or be lazy to voice out.

Guys like this simply put me off. There are some guys who are nonchalant to the state of affairs around them, they choose their lifestyle and that is fine with me. Those that pissed me off are those who do nothing and complain the whole day. In short, these are the guys who often lament that National Service is waste of time because Singapore will perish with a bomb. Guys who cling to this belief are short-sighted and shallow. War is no longer fight this way. We should not even be allowing the missile to head our direction. I have never been to the army, so I will stop short at this topic.

I hope I am not sounding too pro-pap. I am not pro-pap although it is undeniable what the government has done. Anyone who can do a better job and not do a Chee Soon Juan gets my vote.

...

Dang is sleeping in the carpark right now but I cannot be bothered tonight. Somehow I am feeling a little pissed with him today.

He works too long hours and is forever tired. That will and always be my complaint.
Today's a little different. I saw a really pretty skirt while shopping yesterday. Seldom do some cloth item catch my attention. I would have bought it if it were half the price, or lesser actually. Too bad it was pricey, so I gave it a miss.

I told Dang about it though and he commented that I should have bought it. I told him it was too pricey. He mentioned something about me buying the skirt and he will pay for it. Some girls might gleefully jump at the chance and purchased the skirt but I hate arrangements like this. It makes me feel like I am begging him for money. It was not as if I couldn't afford to pay for it, it was just that I felt it was too pricey. I told him outright that I still had my pride. It would be a different story if he got it as a gift for me. He then went along the lines of going with me to the shop and he will pay for it. Goodness, isn't it the same?

Nevertheless, we passed by the shop today and I showed him the skirt. Yes, Singapore is that small that you go to the same places in two consecutive days. We went in and he agreed with me on the good material. He asked me if I were buying and I said no. I asked if he would like me to try the skirt on for him to see and he said in this somewhat sarcastic tone, "What for, you are not buying". I think my mood took a 180 degree swing but I didn't let it show. He went on rambling about how he would buy it if he were me because it's hard to find something nice. By then, I wasn't really listening to him. I suddenly felt totally alienated from him.

Reading ym's post really makes me go yesyesyes and agreeing with her everypoint. Gosh, its really hard to splurge on yourself and save at the same time. I never underestimate saving because I think it is really important. But then, it just makes enjoying yourself feel so much more guilty. I wonder how our parents did it really.

There are so many different kind of people in the world

The Paris Hiltons
The concept of expensive does not apply here. These people buy without looking at the price tags. They just bring whatever they fancy to the cashier.

Those earning a decent amount and spending it all

A lot of people I know are like this. They do not earn too much, its decent enough to get by, but they do not batter an eyelid when they purchase stuff. If I fell into this category, I would have bought the skirt.

Those earning a decent amount but cautious about spending.
I think I fall into this category, I would think most of my frens do as well. Afterall, we know we have a long way ahead of us and that no one is going to leave us any inheritance. The future scares this group of people.

Those earning barely enough and spending it all.
One word. Malays.

Those earning barely enough and cautious about spending.
IMHO, these are the people who get it bad. It is really tiring having to watch every penny.

Sigh, I think I am getting depressed.

Manslaves needed!

I just e-filed my income tax!! It was confusing at first but it was really very easy. Afterall, I have no other sources of income, not eligible for any reliefs and yadar yadar.

I was in town at 4pm yesterday!!! It was a wonderful feeling, has been eons since I appeared in town at 4pm on a weekday. Most of the time, I would be mulling in front of my computer at work watching the little clock at the bottom right of the screen. The sun was scorching but it didn't even matter.

We groomed ourselves, bought stuff and were dead beat at the end of the day. My ankles were hurting. It is strange because that's the only part of my lower limps that ever ache all these years. It felt as if my bones were hitting the floor and I feel this way even if I were wearing my Timberland's walking shoes. Ym had to lug her heavy bag around. Her bag is really heavy, I would be exhausted if I were her. That is why, we need manslaves.

In fact, every girl should be provided with a manslave when she shops. Shopping centers should provide a manslave to every girl. His job would be to carry her purchases, her bags, water (so heavy cos its 1l=1kg) , follow her around dutifully and smile. Simple job isn't it. Pay a premium and manslave will drive you home too.

The best way to shop is to get out really early, like 11am, and shop when the crowds are at work. At about 3pm, you can go for your spas, manicures, pedicures, eyebrows, and whatever. Have dinner at about 6pm and watch a 7pm movie. It will end nicely at 9pm, leaving you ample time to get back home and avoiding rush-home traffic at the same time. This way, one would not be exhausted at having to cover so much ground in so little time.

I am dreaming, ain't I?

Whatever, I decided I will wear my little green skirt out later, as soon as I find a matching top for it.

Hungry Hippo

Today I woke up very very hungry. If you know what I mean, that is. Some people wake up without any appetite and then complain at work all the way till lunch that they are starving. I eat a healthy breakfast every morning. Its either, Wanton Mee, Fishball noodles, Lor Mee, Bee Hoon..you get the drift. My ideal breakfast is to have dimsum. Those that push carts around and they punch whatever you order on this piece of cardboard.

I was exceptionally hungry today. I woke up and while I was brushing my teeth, I could hear my stomach growling. I think its a combination of my empty stomach and bowels. I usually am not hungry if I can full of crap inside. I was so hungry today I polished my plate of fish ball mee pok. For a moment, I imagined myself to be a horse with not enough food filling my four stomachs. Like what I do every morning, I ate a slice of bak kwa immediately after my breakfast.

By noon, I was starving again. I had a big bowl of home cooked noodles jia liao somemore. Disgusting. I always wondered why they call it home cooked noodles when its not home cooked. There is no difference between home cooked noodles and fish ball noodles and prawn noodles. I topped it off with a Kit Kat bar too. I scavenge for something sweet after every meal. In the morning, its bak kwa. Afternoon its Kit Kat. Evening its Ghirardelli Chocolates. I call it, riding my mouth of the food taste. It doesn't really make sense but whatever.

I ate more than I was supposed to eat for dinner again. I drank fish soup meant for 2 persons and I had like 6 pieces of nioang hiang. The Ghirardelli chocolate too of course. Its dark chocolate today.

Finally, as in to mock me. I had a terrible stomach ache at 10pm. It was as if to punish me for eating so much. I had to run to toilet 3 times while writing this.

My fingers stink.

Nail polish remover from Red Earth stinks. It stinks so badly. Its as if I dipped my fingers in vinegar. It doesn't even remove nail polish easily. My nails look like they been sandpapered instead.

It boasts to have AHA, be able to preserve nail strength and prevent splitting. That is what it advertises on the bottle.
It is outrageous.

I been trying to wash my fingers with strongly scented soap to rid the vinegar smell but my fingers still stink. Gross.

Am going to watch Team America tomorrow. Yeah.

What happends on a weekday evening?

What do people do on weekdays when they return home from work?

Do you continue working? I know a lot of people who bring work home or rabidly check their work emails.

Do you watch tv? What is there to watch anyway? Besides Desparate housewives or housewife (I am clueless), which I try to religiously watch, there is almost nothing on tv.

Do you sleep? Sleep will only make the next work day arrive sooner.

Do you go out with friends? Its getting harder and harder for everyone to agree on a time to meet.

All I want to do on a weekday evening, is to lounge and laze on bed naked and maybe hump like jackrabbits, and watch a dvd at the same time.

I miss school.

I'm back! I'm back!

I'm back! I'm back!

I have been to Austin, SFO and back. It feels fantastic to be home, although the heat is almost unbearable these days. What's wrong with the planet.

I jumped from a 10 degrees in SFO to a sweltering 33 degrees here. I am almost melting.

SFO is a nice place, but its too touristy. Everyone is holding a map walking around in this overly excited face. It kinda reminded me a bit of the beach front at Patpong, Phuket, before the Tsunami that is. I took tons of photos. Somewhat in the magnitude of 1G. I took like 500 photos and because I had to use the highest quality standard for every shot, each photo was close to 2M each. Fantastic. Now, to develop the photos or not. I need my own printing facility!

I made two friends in SFO. A Hongki and a Shanghainese. John and Stephen. My colleague is convinced that John has a crush on me but I deny vehemently.I have to admit though that I was flirting with John sometimes. Anyway I will never like a guy who squirms about in a Victoria Secret Shop. Yes, we dragged both guys into a VS lingerie shop, Stephen was surprising open. I was expecting all mainland guys to be absolutely conservative. Bad stereotype but how can you blame me. I actually managed to persuade Stephen to buy a pair of undies for his girlfriend. It was 5 for $20 and I could only find myself 4 pairs.
He eventually settled for a simple white number with a pink band. He was absolutely terrified at the idea of buying her a thong. Nevertheless, I found the gesture extremely sweet. Mind you, his gf is only 18. Pedophile. I had it specially packaged for him in a pink wrapper and pink bag.

John on the other hand was trying very hard to make himself invisible in the shop. The only reason why he stood in the shop instead of outside was because he was cold. It was like 8 degrees outside and John was freezing. It was much warmer inside the shop.

John later insisted on eating Italian food for dinner. I found it strange that he wanted to eat Italian food in America. We settled for some pasta place and the guys did not know how to order. We Singaporeans are a lucky bunch. I had to give them a crash course on the different type of pastas and Italian sauces. Eventually, I gave up and ordered for them. Hhahah. The food was mediocre but the guys thought it was fantastic. We get much better pasta here.

My mandarin improved tremendously while I was in SFO. Ironical isn't it. I spoke nothing but Mandarin to them.

Anyhow, I want to go to Taipei next. Tickets on Jetstar asia are going for $68.

Happy CNY!!

hahahahahahaha, I am so happy!
Its the third day of the cock year and I am not working. Methinks half the population is not working, and half of the population who is working is skiving at work. Of course, there are some with no choice and have to work.

So, I survived the new year, it was a tumultuous start really. As with every new year. I collected less Ang Bao money because my grandmother went senile and absent-mindedly gave us the $4 Ang Bao packets meant for the generic all, instead of the special $40 grandchildren Ang Bao packets. But seriously, I do not care much for the money, feels good to receive it but its nothing really.

I still have 4 more dinners to eat at my uncles' place. That would take me 2 more weekends.

Dung is bugging me to visit his relatives, he says he is getting tired of brewing up reasons to explain my absent. I have told him to tell his pesky relatives that I am Indian. Cock. I am not even obligated to visit them and because of that, the harder I will try not to visit them. I hate being forced.

Dung wore this for CNY. Nice?

I hate cabs.

I am the kind of person who will not take a cab, but when I take one, its always in the "you cannot even get a cab even if you have money" situation. Loosely translated from Mandarin.

Give me $10 to take a cab, and I will sit take public transport there and keep the $10. Unless the journey is really too far. I find it really sinful to take a cab. I do not know why, its not as if I scrimp on other things as well. My logic has always been, it will take me $2 on public transport but 5 times the amount on a cab. Its not as if I cannot afford to leave my house a little earlier to save on extra traveling time. This is unless I get bus sick, which I get all the time. Its just strange, I cannot bring myself to flag a cab.

However, since I started working, I been taking cabs more often. Mostly after 8pm because my company pays for it. This is different, its not like they give me the money and I can pocket it as I do not take a cab. I claim when I take a cab, so since its paid for, I will be a dumbass if I do not take a cab. My logic is that I help the economy. The cab fare helps pay for the cabby family needs. He has money to buy more things, which create jobs for more people. The best thing about it is the company eventually comes from America and is not mine.

Today I wanted to take a cab home. This was one of my rarest cab moments. I walked from Lucky plaza to Far East Plaza but both queue were too long, so I crossed the road to Shaw center but could not get a cab either. I radioed for a cab, it took me 15 minutes before the machine gave me a cab, for 15 minutes it was the "I'm sorry, We are unable to locate a cab". I was cursing and swearing and kicking myself in the ass for not taking public transport. Plus, it was 9.30pm and I had not had dinner. Never mess with a hungry woman.

I remembered the last time I took a cab, it was the same experience. In short, I hate cabs.

I caught a lizard!

I caught a lizard!

I know this photo with make Miss Leow scream and send a shiver down her spine.

I love catching lizards and no I am not a psycho. No pun intended *wink*

When I was in secondary school and in the midst of doing sewing for home economics homework, this big fat lizard prance up and down my brown paper. I got so irritated I took the pin I was holding and jabbed it right through its rubbery skin. It was an experience.

It was also the first time I understood what they truly meant by cold-blooded creatures. The lizard was rubbery and so cold.

Yesterday lizard courted death by first appearing by my bed. I cannot have a lizard crawling over me when I sleep. I tried to catch it but missed. I grudgingly went to spring pack my clothes. Just as I was done, the lizard appeared again. Now, I cannot have it near my nicely packed clothes. No way. If it appeared in the toilet, I would be less interested in catching it. But no, it had to appear in all the wrong places.

On a less gruesome note, I bought a set of clothes today. So happy.

Lights thrill me.

Don't you like this picture?

I like it because there are many colours, and mostly because if you look closer, the lights are as if they were photoshopped on. Its as if its from no where with no eletricity cable. Yeah.

To the Forum

I just wrote in to the forum. This is what I wrote.

>>
I am disturbed by the sight of big black trash bags lining our roads. I supposed our cleaners rake up all the dry leaves, pack them in the trash bags and leave it by the side of the road for the trucks to collect.

The threat of terrorism is real and we have been encouraged again and again by authorities to report of any suspicious objects lying around.
I cannot help but wonder in fear what if instead of dead leaves, the bags were laden with explosives.

In recent bombings around the region, a single car bomb ruined the lives of many. Along a 50m stretch of our roads, there can be as many as 10 bags lining the road. I shudder as I envisage the devastation.

Leaving these trash bags along our roads contradicts our terrorisms prevention measures. I am imploring the relevant authorities to look into this issue. It is unnecessary to make ourselves vulnerable to terrorism.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Haha, I actually wrote to the forum. Well after all, PM MM Lee wants citizens who are vocal and take an active interest in the countries welfare.

I was on my way today, and like a jolt of lightning outta nowhere, I tried to receite the plege in my mind. The last time I said the pledge was during assembly in JC, which was eons ago. I was ahgast that I actually forgot the pledge and it took me a few times to get it correct.

Its my country, my pledge. I should always be able to receite it. Yes, I am that patriotic.
Now, how many of you know the chinese version of the pledge? I do. lalala.

On Government Service

Aiyoh, I saw an envelope addressed to me "On Government Service"

I panicked. I thought I owed them money, or like finally after a decade , they decided they gave me the wrong PSLE score or something.

Girls usually are not on Government Service.

I opened my letter and saw that I was on government service because I am not married. SDU sent me their revamped membership card, its good till next January. Woohoo.. I am so excited. Yeah right.

Come to think of it, the last time I received a government service letter is when SDU sent me my first membership card. Its a waste of money really. They print on very good quality paper. Its not the usual paper that you get all your bills. The SDU paper is thicker, probably whiter too. No wonder everyone grumbles when they pay tax.

Oh, SDU sends this regular newsletter too. Its published by Mediacorp I think. Its really crappy. Good places to go on first dates include parks. Yucks, I will never want to meet the guy again if he brings me to a park for a first date. I would think most girls think the same way too. Parks are boring unless you blade. SDU didn't suggest that, it merely states to walk around in the park. The park refers to parks like Kent Ridge Park, Bishan Park yadar yadar, not ECP or WCP.

Remember, to get married is to do Government Service.

Shit.

I was fantastic today. I completed all my chores in less than 2 hours.

I sent my pants to alter, sent my shoes for repair, got the part number that I wanted. I only forgot to go to the library because it slipped my mind but mostly because Orchard was too crowded and I was getting squashed so I scurried to my safe hole - the MRT station back home.

Pt aside, I wanted to blog about my msn conversation with Emily yesterday.

The topic was Shit.
Question: Does your shit float or sink?

I noticed my shit used to float, recently it has been sinking. Emily's shit sinks and floats occasionally. We concluded that her shit is more compact than mine. Air floats what. Splattering shit is the best cos it creates the most wonderful design on the otherwise pristine white towel bowl. Personally, I love splattering lao sai shit best.

I also learnt that Emily has to wash her butt after she shits, so when she is outside, she wets toilet paper, stuff them in her butt crack and uses the butt cheek to squeeze. And, I thought I was the weird one.

We then discussed about the different peeing sounds. When you are a lot to release, the peeing sound can sometimes become squeaky. When guys pee, there is the pee, then a break, before the final pee. Dung calls it emptying it all. I think its like the peristaltic motion when they cum. In waves.

One of my biggest fantasy is to walk in with a super soaker when Dung pees or shit. Shit is better, cos its harder to shop shitting and retaliate.

Monday, January 24, 2005

I realised in my previous entry, I misspelt CNY as CUNY. It almost became CUNT. Gross mistake.

I just put my curtains to wash. Its the pre CNY spring chicken cleaning thingy. I love my curtains. They are not the boring pale colours. My curtain is bright, with cartoon characters on them. I love bright colours. This explains why my bedsheet is mostly orange with Goofy all over it.

I am going to cut my hair tomorrow.

I am half decided if I should pluck my eyebrows. I am terrified of plucking eyebrows because it seems to me that every eyebrown stylist mission is to pluck everything into one thin line.

I need to alter my pants too. My pants are like 4 inches too long, and already I think my legs are not short.

Tuesday.....

Too pricey?

Would you pay $268 for a spectacles frame??? *ouch*

I have been looking for nice frames. I decided that I needed a pair of specs to wear just in case my contact lenses fail me. My eyes have been getting more n more irritated with my lenses these day. Its either oozing shit, or I have one dry eye, one pain eye.

Anyhow, I saw this really nice red frames today. Should have taken a photo of it but I think optician will probably bash me if I do so.
Its really nice. I tried other frames too, somehow the rest just do not cut it.

But spending so much on a frame is sinful. Perhaps, it was because I saw it in Paris Miki, I am sure they overprice items. Maybe, it will be cheaper in a neighborhood store, but I doubt so.

On a happier note, I bought a purple top. I initially wanted pink but they ran out of pinks.
I bought a blue top too. Plus a maroons top.

Yeah, my CNY shopping is halfway done. Now, I just need to match the stuff that I bought.

The Vinny

You notice how some people are really pessimistic and all they do is to bring you down.
Its like their ying yang is not balanced and a dark cloud forever looms above their heads.

Its disgusting really, irritating first then disgusting.

Lets talk about Vinny. I am not afraid to using his name will jeopardize our friendship because he doesn't know this url and he once told me blatantly in my face, "I have no time to read other people's crap"

Vinny is depressing. He is all negative.

Vinny is forever late when we meet up. He acts as if he owns the time, and he chooses whenever he wants to arrive. I understand that some people have really busy schedules and have no choice. Vinny is no where that busy, in fact, I suspect he spends most of his time cooped up in a miserable Lab. He arrives late, makes no warning and appears. He lurks around trying to find us after we shift to another location. Call us duh! But no, he takes great pride in locating us. Duh.

He has nothing good to say about anything. My boss once told me ,"If you have nothing good to say, shut up.". Vinny would be a mute then. He is forever mulling over some fact. When all of us are merrymaking, he always have to pour the cold water. Plus, it says depressing things in a totally dead pan voice with a face that you just want to smash against the wall.

Vinny stinks. I think he re-wears clothes too often or he just scrimps on soap.

I can go on and on..but I should stop because afterall, Vinny has been nice to me. He takes all my bantering without screaming back at me. He has told me some stuff he doesn't go around telling the whole world. He is really fine. He only flaw is that he mulls and mulls.

However, Vinny has recently been on a different frequency way too often. He talks to you thinking you are yoda. He thinks you automatically understand the context and content of his mulling, without giving specifics. You have to think ahead when he speak to you. Please, Yoda I am not.

Today, he pissed me off again.

I am leaving for Mersing tomorrow and we have asked him to come again. He eagerly agreed at first thinking I was some other girl. When he found out that he was speaking to the wrong girl, his horse face sunk to the ground. He is still going because I suaned him crudely and loudly over dinner at Tiong Sang Porridge. Now, he is being a prick and complaining that he doesn't have details, which is strange because none of my other friends complain. Oh yes, we been to the same Mersing place 10 millions times. What details do you want???

He is behaving like the period guy - suffering from pms.

Anyhow, I will simmer down, ignore him and eagerly await tomorrow.
Clear skies!!

Edit: I wrote this because Vinny pissed me off again. But seriously, he is not that vile. He does have his good points. When I am feeling delirously happy, I will elaborate.

There you go...

Ok, I promised Guybrush that I would blog today.

So here its goes, its 3.30pm and I am at work now. The office is so quiet because half of them have gone to Msia for an event.

I am left with 3 guys, none of which are eyecandy. Let me describe them,.

Guy no 1, lets call him Kng. He is short, darn short, I think 1.65m. I look taller beside him, of course in my heels. He spikes his hair up, its supposed to be cool but it makes him look dirty. Talking about hygiene, he behaves like a dog. He is forever scratching himself unconsciously. There is this secret wink among the girls whenever he does his doggy moves. I always think that he wears shirts that are longer than his body length, as such, it makes him look shorter. Thank goodness, he is rather competent at his work. As a colleague, he is fine. As a person, I don't think I like him that much. As potential bf material, nah, I will never recommend him to any of my gfs. You paint the picture yourself.

Guy no 2,lets call him PK. PK stands for Pai Kia. He changes his wallpaper 3 times a day. Its always those Dragon ball looking characters. He was stopped at the causeway once to go for urine test, because the police thought he was on drugs. He had his driver license revoked because he was speeding at 150km/h in his probation year. He claims he was tailgating and did not realise the speed. I think its crap. I suspect he smokes because there is that awful stench but he claims otherwise. He has just joined for a week, I hope he turns out fine. So far he is ok, except that he stutters on the phone and sounds like he wants to bash you up.

Guy no 3. lets call him Pigeon. His name rhymes with Pigeon. He is stoned. He keeps the ear piece in his ear even when he is not on the phone. In fact, he is hardly on the phone. I caught some quiz paper on his table ,"Who said what." and he filled up the answers. Very free eh. Sigh.

Its now 5.54pm. Ploughed through today. No, I did not take 2 hours to blog, I was distracted.

The good news is, I will be going Mersing to stargaze soon. Yeah. I am deliriously happy. The others are interested too yeah!

Also, I might be going Austin. Cool. Tataz

Scary Movies

I was bored stiff last night. There was no one I wanted to talk to on ICQ and I had finished surfing my usual websites. So, I switched on the TV, channel surfed and gosh, they were showing a ghost show in Channel8.

It was one of those, the ghost was maligned when she was alive, so the angry and fury ghost goes around killing people, and will only stop when she is appeased. You know, much overused plot.

So, I decided to watch a little. I have for the longest time refused to watch any shows with ghosts/vampires/spirits in it.

Simple reason: I am scared.

It all started when I was little. I used to fall asleep in bed without needing a blanket. One day I watched "Ghost pull Leg (Gui La Jiao)", I got so horribly scared, I covered myself in blanket when I slept that night. I remembered I was perspiring profusely but I still refused to come out from beneath the sheets, as a result, I came down with fever the next day. How pathetic.

The fear stuck on. I still refuse to watch horror shows. I do not see the point of paying to scare myself.

Yesterday, I decided to watch that ghost show on tv. I braved through the first 5 minutes. That was all my gentle heart could take. After that, I immediately switched channels whenever something scary is about to happen. I hate sitting on my chair in apprehension as I watched.

10 minutes later, I decided I had enough and switched the TV off.

Mind you, I would think most people wouldn't even find it that scary. After all, how scary can a show made in the eighties/early nineties be.

I just couldn't stomach it. Me is a scary cat.
