Met GJ today.

So, I met GJ today.

He took a photo of me and is going to put on his blog, except that he is playing mj now and will only be able to blog tomorrow.
He promised to black my face out.

A few other things I learnt about him
-he likes girls in tank tops, preferably in white.
- colors like baby blue is fine too
- it would really turn him on if the girl is wearing a sweet green bra beneath
- his new car has a new leather + chocolate muffin smell.

In short, he wants a shu nu. No wonder he spends so much on his insurance. His agent is quite chio, considering she is already 30.

We had double filet o fish for dinner. GJ = Mac. I still think he eats mac all the time. He picked me up from my office, but couldn't find my office building. He landed up driving against traffic. He actually made a wrong turn and turned onto oncoming traffic. I was stumbled for a while when he told me over the phone where he was. In my mind, I was trying to figure out where he was.

I saw some shoes at JP. They were really really cheap. About $10 and they were quite decent. I would have bought if I were alone or if GJ edged me. I am not that kind of shopper who looks at things and buys. I look at them, and if I like it I put it back on the shelve too. I only buy when I really need it, or when someone encourages me too. I will go there soon to take a second look. Talking about shoes, I found out something about Charles & Keith, I am not going to post it here because I do not want the whole world to know what I know and do things the way I do. Miss Leow knows about it though.

Wedding invites

Fuckanthan, I opened my email so that I can click on 'compose new message' to blog.
Compose new message gives me a clean slate to blog and I can do a spell check before I cut n paste on blogger. Word messes up the alignment too much.

And, guess what I saw?? A wedding invite. Damn it, yet another red bomb. *Grits teeth*

Gone are the days when you receive an invite by snail mail and RSVP. The recent weddings I been invited to, I have been asked to confirm via email or sms, before they actually send me the invite. Its like huh? Save the trees project is it?

Anyhow, back to the original blog topic I had in mind, which incidentally is also about getting married.

My malay colleague today announced that her bf asked for her hand but she rejected. She loves the guy. She adores the guy, they speak to each other and behave like a newly attached couple. They have been going strong for years and she told me she rejected his proposal because she is not ready. However, she agreed to marry him in two years time and they have made a pact to start saving money.

I asked her, so how much money do you need to have before you marry. She told me they will save 500 a month and when they have 12000 they will get married. I was flabbergasted.

How is 12000 enough to get married? Where would you stay? You would have nothing in your house.

TV - $3000 Its probably a not too big tv.
Washing Machine - $1000? I have no idea how much a washing machine cost.
Sofa - $2000 2Grand will probably get you a low end sofa I think. Again I am not very good at how much these things cost.
Bed - $1000 A good bed is important. V Important
Refrigerator - $1000 Man, I am so bad at estimating prices of household appliances.

Hey, there is still 3k left. Did I miss out anything. Maybe 12k is enough for them to get married. If all else fails, there is always Courts.

I do feel very happy for her though. She was grinning from ear to ear when she related everything to me. I really felt very happy for her. For some strange reason, I was grinning from ear to ear too for a while after that.

Everything else doesn't really matter right, you just have to be happy.

ICQ rules, MSN sucks

You know what, I hate msn and yet I switch on my msn to find people to chat

Whats wrong with me? and What's wrong with the rest of the world for preferring msn over icq?
ICQ rules. MSN sucks.

In MSN, the stupid orange blinking thing appears at my taskbar and I have no control over it. Don't tell me its in the setting, I plough through it and cannot find a way to switch it off. It irritates the hell of me.

ICQ allows you to go invisible and chat with the whoever you please. In MSN, once you appear offline, you cannot chat. Don't tell me to block people blar blar, this would mean that if I want to use msn at home, I have to block out my whole office. Duh. Msn is legal in my office and the only reason why I use it, or even start to have contacts.

I hate the display pics in msn. I hate it when people put pictures of their children or cats in it. It is why I always switch the pictures off. But I do want to see the other nicer pictures, so switching it on and off is a hassle for me. I totally hate it when my colleague at work puts pics of her children, for goodness sake, her children are damn ugly and not the least bit cute. Children under 2 yrs of age are in general in some way cute, but hers are not. I squirm everytime she msgs me. I have since switched off the display pictures at work permanently. I know I am being slight mean in saying that her children are not cute, but trust me, that's how I feel.

I hate the way msn has nudges winks blar blar. Its like duh..for what. Needless to say, I switched off that function too.

I hate the way msn allows you to change your name. Hello, its like I have to remember everyone's email address to know who they are?

In ICQ, you can select a few files, do a right click and send via ICQ, in msn you are forced to send a file at a time. Dumb.

I like the layout of ICQ so much better. Much better.

Hate msn. Quit msn and install ICQ.

Xing Fu.

I am the happiest girl alive now!

I bought new goggles plus a swim cap. I am so happy!
I had crabs and prawns for dinner too. In my younger cousin's words, I feel so xing fu now. *does cartwheels around my room*

Its amazing how little makes me darn happy. I love my new goggles. My old goggles are perfectly fine except that they are day goggles. I used to swim in sunlight then. Its those goggles with shiny film that keeps that glare out, those that allow you to ogle at guys without them knowing you are looking. My new goggles are clear, so clear you can see my eyes. Its for swimming after sunset which I do these days. With my old goggles, I could barely see anything. So happy. Bought a new swim cap too. So happy.

Crabs and prawns. I am not exactly a crab fan but I ate like one whole crab by myself. It was fun. The buttery prawns were heavenly too. Was at Melben Seafood at Blk 232 AMK St22. Go there instead of Jumbo, its cheaper.

You know what the best part is, my dad paid for my goggles and swim cap. Yeah. Now, staying home on Saturday does have it perks.

Home on a Saturday

I feel extremely guai today.

Its a Saturday and I am not going out but going to join my parents for dinner. Its been eon since I did that.
I packed my wardrobe and room too. Actually all I did was to rearrange the clothes and throw away the stuff that cluttered my table. I have no idea how all this stuff came to me. I seldom buy anything.

My mum just bought 2 zen micros for my siblings. She asked if I wanted one too but I declined. Citibank was having this close door sale at Creative and I had to disappear from work 2 times within 2 hours to go swipe my card. I fiddled with it later and found that I kinda liked it.
Buy creative, forget about the fruit. Support local. After all, the fruit already has about 60% of market share. We bought 2 speakers too, the 3600 , it was going at 99. I think the retail price is almost 250. Dung took one and I have no idea where the one in my house is.

Anyone wants anything from creative next time, just ask me. All I have to do is to disappear from work and walk over. Don't expect me to queue up though. Talking about queue, I was surprised to see a queue at the doors at 11am. It opens at 11am. I went at 11am sharp thinking I would be the first one there, but there was already like 30 people ahead of me. Apparently, there were only a limited number of speakers going at 99. How do people get off work at 11am to join a q? I am sure not all of them work near Creative.

Blogging at 4pm on a Saturaday. Man, I do need to find a life.

My msns at work.

I must say that I have been having very sexual conversations with my friends on msn while at work.

The first was with GJ.

Excerpt from his post
Me: SAF give free condom for my Taiwan trip....
Cindy: Issit? I heard its lousy, it breaks when filled with water...
Me: Issit? I dunno...
Cindy: Why dun you try it?
Me: Wif who?
Cindy: Ask you to fill it with water lah!!! Not use for sex!!!!
Me: ...

Do a replace all "Me" with "GJ"
He has a photo of his condoms there too. Some obsure brand I never knew.

The conversation proceeded on to along the likes of GJ thinking he has a little dick but good techniques. He refused to tell me what he meant by little dick and good techniques though. Does dick size matters? As SPG adeptly puts it, "I have never seen a 2.4 inch dildo"

Fastforward to chat with Al today. The chat resulted in him sending me his Karma Sutra over. All 8Mb of it.

He asked me, "What is it that a woman wants"

"To cum and cum and cum and cum, without having to do any work on the guy." - my reply.

He must have fallen off his chair then because it took him like 10 mins to reply back. It was the most straightforward answer he heard.

I always think that a guy only does what he does so that he can peak. I know there will be plenty of rebuttals but if you think again, its essentially true. How many guys will time and time again go down on a girl without wanting any sexual favours in return?

Al thinks its a two way street. I agree but I do know more horny guys than girls. In fact, all the guys I know are horny with the exception of one. Long story about that lone one.

Anyway, sex is too cheem a topic to discuss about. I will just land up going around in circles. I can feel it coming. Will stop now.

> Dancingpris - will try to take a photo of it. I just wore it so its somewhere aroudn now. My bro thought I was attending a malay wedding when he saw me go out. My mum exclaimed , ' wah..why you were ah pu nei clothes". Dung says its ok because he is peranakan. I think I might not wear it to a wedding afterall, but just to plays and musicals.

Back in my country!

Yeah, so I am back in Sg. I love my country.

Hanoi on the whole was alright really. Minus that resident mosquito that made sleep so uncomfortable. The stupidest thing was that we only found the mosquito net on our last night there and really only had one good night's sleep. Why would pampered Singaporeans expect to use a mosquito net? It is the first time in my life I slept in a mossy net. Strange experience.

I have a slightly aching right arm now. That is after having to lug two laptops and many other equipment up and down three stories everyday. Yes, the hotel had no lift. It is a family run business really. They were so concerned about saving money that they switched off the mains to the water heater when we were gone one day, resulting in us bathing in icy cold water. When I say icy cold water, I mean ICE COLD water. Its not that cold water you get at public showers, its really ICE COLD. Considering the ambient temperature was like 20 degrees, the water was freezing at night. It took me 5 mins to creep into the shower, 2 mins to shower and get out. I didn't feel very clean after that though.

Besides that, Hanoi is really not bad place. Things are not as cheap as in Bangkok though. The people in Hanoi adopt a very different attitude towards bargaining, in BKK, they entertain you and want to sell you when you bargain. In Hanoi, they simply take the item back from you and hang it back up in the display.

Managed to tour around Hanoi a little, not as much as I wanted to because we had to work too.
Its a good place for a budget trip really. My Tiger Airway tickets were just about $150, minus the USD18 airport tax. I almost had no more money to pay for the tax and could not get out of Hanoi. Luckily, I still had SGD50 with me and had to exchange it to Dong.

Tiger Airways is not too bad too, when it is less than half full that is. The flight was so empty, one could just lie flat on three seats.
I cannot imagine how it will be like when its packed.

That's it for now. Am going to watch Sound of Music later.

I think I will wear my modified Ao Dai there. Ao Dai is the traditional Vietnamese dress, long blouse with pants. I tailored made 3 dresses but no one wears long blouse in sg, so I made them into tubes. Hahhah, the tailor gave me this dirty look when I gestured to her I wanted tubes.

With love from Hanoi

Blogging from hanoi now.

Hanoi is not as rustic and as old as you see in postcards, televion etc. Its like sg in the 70s.
The roads are just swarmed with so many motobikes, they look like swarms of bees. The motobikes horn relentlessly, and they ride on either side of the road, regardless of road direction.

To cross the road, you have to behave like a chicken. Just say a quick prayer and dash across the road. Good thing is, humans and bikes seem to command the same amount of authority on the roads. The motobikes just weave around you. For someone as urban as me, it can get a tad bit scary. However, I am proud to say that I have mastered the skill of being an errant roadcrosser.

Things here are not as cheap as they should be. Somone tried to sell me the pirated copy of life of pi for USD8. I told him I can get the original copy for SGD5 back home. He followed me down the 2 streets and offered USD2 in the end. I didn't buy because by then I was getting too afraid of him and just want to go away. I belived I could have bought it for USD1 if I persisted.

You can never miss a Singaporean by the way he/she drives a hard bargain. The moment I start bargaining, they go , "from singapore?"

I tailored made 3 dresses, going to collect them tomorrow. I hope they turn out fine and will last me through all the weddings I have to go to this year.

So far so good here, its really too dusty. I broke up in mini-hives. Thankfully, I bought Zyrtec and it has been working fine.

Tradeshow is starting tomorrow, have to stand the whole day and try to speak to the Vietnamese. Talking to them is like a chicken talking to a duck. Its terrible.

I miss sg. I so want to be back.

The price of water.

I love to swim and I am in a dilemma.

When I was young, I swam at my dad's company club. I go there to swim everyweek. Years later, the company was not doing well and they sold the place. A church bought it over and uses its facilities now. I do not like the church. It robbed me of my swimming place.

It didn't really matter that much then because I was swimming in the varsity pool then. I went every other day and swam my hearts out.

When I started working, I went back to swim. No one stopped me because no one checked my matriculation card. Then, Sars swept the whole country and contact tracing became the necessary. I could no longer enter the pool because my matric card shows that I have graduated.

I have resorted going to public pools then. I hate the public pool. It is dirty, smelly, slimy and salty. The toilets have a permanent urea smell too.

There is a pool near my office. It is 3/4 the length of the Olympic size pool. I have refused to swim in pools of any other length besides the standard 50m, it makes doing laps much more fulfilling. It is also empty, clean and has nice toilets. The only catch is that it will cost me $388 for a year usage. Solely pool usage, gym facilities are not included. I was tempted since the first day I started work 2 years ago but I threw it out of my mind as it was pricey.

Two years on, I simply cannot stand public pools and am growing fat. However, I still find it expensive just that I am more willing to fork out the money.

I am in a dilemma.

Everyone tells me its expensive water. Some tells me that I should not look at it this way because lifestyle cannot be measured by money. Others tell me its about the same price as a musical ticket that I pay. Most tell me its expensive.

I am willing to pay $200 for half a year usage because I do not want to commit so much money, but the gym is unwilling to compromise.

Sigh.

How?

I know people will tell me the standard things - "Its expensive". I feel that too, but I really love swimming.

How?

My weekend

I had a relatively good weekend.

I went had a fabulous seafood dinner on Friday. I ate like 5 crab pincers and a whole lot of other stuff. It was fatanbulous. I went Indochine afterwards. It was my first time there. I always dissed the place as tacky because of the nemo layout and how people seem to be crowding outsider leeching free music.

So, I went into Indochine. There was really nothing there except that the washareas in the toilet were unique. There is no sink. You step on this black rubber dot on the floor to turn the water on, the water then flows onto this slopping piece of plastic and is drained away. Cool. Besides that, Indochine is so not happening. It didn't help that I was in my work clothes aka scrappy jeans and T-shirt. To wear a T-shirt to a club is a felony.

I also managed to go to a wedding, both church and lunch and watch 2 movies this weekend!.
It was simply great. Although once again, I wished I did not have to go to work tomorrow.

So long.
